My older sister knew Wilton better than I did but I grew up picking figs from his mother's tree, playing with his sister, Sarah, and later cards with his brother Oliver and his wife, Marguerite. As children we fished for craw fish in the pond in the family fields and their grandfather once locked us in his corn crib because we would not stay out. I had a huge crush on Wilton's younger brother, which lasted a lifetime. The family was a pillar in the community and I remember them all with fondness. What an asset of integrity and lifetime of stability has been lost.
