    Dear Wimberly Family,

Though I only met your family briefly and under very sad circumstances, I wanted to extend my heartfelt sympathy to your family. I can see from the video memorial that Sam was a treasured member of your family as well as a leader in his school, church and community. As your sister in Christ I am praying for God to pour His healing and grace on your family, to wrap His comforting arms around each of you and sustain you through your heartache and grief.

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you he will never let the righteous fall.
    Psalm 55:22

Dear Pastor, Gina, Brothers, and Sisters,
Since we first heard the news about Samuel early Sunday morning, our hearts have been filled with pain and grief, yet we know that we cannot even begin to imagine how extremely difficult this must be for all of you. When we arrived at church Sunday morning and saw all the boys standing quietly at the end of the football field, we felt their pain and grief. Our Sunday School class taught by Al Stevens was much in prayer as he shared about Samuel. The atmosphere in the church was somber and prayerful.
Everyone was burdened and felt helpless in our desires to help all the family. We are sure that in the depths of your grief you have felt Gods love and grace for you, even as we imagined what Samuel is experiencing in His Presence. Be assured that through the days, weeks, months ahead we shall continue to pray for all of you. You are a beautiful family and a tremendous witness to the church family and many people in this city. God Bless You All
