Sidney Swayze Stubblefield Neyland, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. He was 47 years old.
Swayze was born on October 9, 1969. He was a graduate of Broadmoor High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana University. Swayze loved spending time hunting and fishing on the family land in Centreville, MS.
Swayze was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He spent much of his adult life working in construction. Swayze had physical disabilities due to an accident, but as a recent flood victim, he wanted to start a construction business in hopes of helping repair homes damaged by the devastating flooding in the Baton Rouge area.
Swayze, is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline Neyland of New Orleans and three brothers; Robert Neyland (Vicki) of Mandeville, John Neyland (Karen) and Thomas Neyland (Tracey) both of Baton Rouge, two sisters; Carrie Neyland of New Orleans and Angela Hillman (Eric) of Prairieville, and one aunt, Carrie Neyland of Centreville, MS. He had ten nieces and nephews, Corey Neyland (Audri), Amelia Pursell (Jonathan), Jordan Neyland, Olivia Neyland, Brooke Hillman, Noah Neyland, Madeline Neyland, Tanner Hillman, Carson Hillman, and Emma Neyland, and two great-nieces, Darcy and Fae Neyland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norma and Norman Neyland, his grandparents; John and Carrie Holm, and Ruby and Willie Neyland, and aunts, Jean Holm Simmons and Barbara Neyland Alford.
Visitation will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, on Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a memorial service to follow. Burial will be 11:00 AM on Monday, October 24, 2016, at the Cory Family Cemetery in Centreville, MS.
Pallbearers will be Swayze’s brothers and sisters.

Although we did not know Sidney, we do know his brother John and were impressed with his personally, character, and values. I am sure Sidney would have been the same.
