I was so saddened when I heard precious Carolyn had passed. She was so kind, worked hard for our kids n had a big part in our school being Grade A. She was loved and will be missed. The school fair will not be the same without her walking around n talking to parents n students. Jerry was a student there, is 30 now, and whenever Mrs Sauer n I talked she always remembered him. God bless the family. Luv Margaret Natretta and family.

Mrs. Sauer will be remembered for welcoming me to Shenandoah Elem. with opened arms. She loved the Lord, her family, and the Shenandoah family. The bar for all was set high and would not be lowered. However, she encouraged everyone to work hard to approach/reach it! We are praying that God comforts, strengthens, and keeps you all and that you will cherish precious memories of her always.

We first met Joe & Carolyn in the 1970's while in LSU graduate school. Since that time, we have valued their friendship. Carolyn was a kind sweet person, and wonderful educator who touched many lives. She will be missed. Our prayers are with Joe and the family during this time of grief, as we place our hope in the resurrection of Christ Jesus.

Carolyn was my friend, coworker, and confidant. She will be missed by many and I will always keep her in my heart.
I dearly remember working with Carolyn to coordinate my school's donation to Shenandoah during Katrina and then our subsequent correspondence at the beginning of each school year. Rest in Peace. Debra Douglas
