We lost our love Christine Weaver Danehower. She left us for the ultimate destination, heaven. We miss her so very much. We can no longer hold her hand, we can’t dance with her, we can’t garden with her, we can’t work with her but we can and will forever love and remember her.

Christine was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 27, 1968 and raised in Lucedale, Mississippi. She graduated from George County High School. She attended Mississippi Gulf Coast College and attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University. Christy’s work began in high school with Mississippi Power followed by her work during college as a cooperative student with Dow Chemical.
Upon graduation from Mississippi State, Christine continued her career with Dow Chemical. She remained with Dow until her passing holding both technical and management positions. Christine loved and is loved by so many at Dow and throughout the Baton Rouge and Central communities. Near the end of her short life so many were reaching out to her, please know that she was unable to answer. She loved you all so much, please know this.
Christine, Christy and Pearl are the names that we loved her by. Think upon her and whichever name you connect with hold on to it. Love as she loved, respect as she respected, and most importantly have faith as she has faith.
We should all follow her lead.
We loved her very much. She was fun, delightful, smart, witty and a beautiful person. Her family is in our prayers. She will be missed. We will see her again.

Joel and family, it saddens me greatly to see Christine's obituary. I did not know she was sick and my heart goes out to you all.
It has been many years since running into you two at the Tickfaw River and I remember her arms waving and calling my name. Such a good thing to see y'all after so many years. You two introduced Robert and I to the Mullet Toss @ Flora Bama. Such a good time!!
You two were such an inspiration as a couple. The obit speaks of the 3 names people knew her as...well I always think of you two constantly saying "My Love" to each other. I always thought that was so enduring. What a wonderful, fun and energetic Lady. She will be missed by so many I am sure of. I am very proud to say I knew "My Love" and considered her a sweet friend, even after all these years. Take care Joel and know your family has the best Angel ever waiting for you...
