Haggenmacher, Changwon (meaning “Beautiful Princess”)

A native of Seoul, South Korea, she died at 9pm Wednesday February 7, 2018 at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 85. A kind, loving, & gentle “Child of God”, wife, and mother, who along with her husband, served as a missionary throughout the world, founding numerous orphanages and churches. She was also well known for her oil paintings, having taught many others to paint as well. For all those whose lives she touched, the lasting memory she leaves with us, is her unwavering faith in God, her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her beautiful spirit, loving heart, her genuine kindness toward all, and her unselfish generosity, always placing the needs of others before her own. She taught each of us what goodness truly means.

Visiting is at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday February 16 from 1:30pm until service at 2:00pm conducted by Rev. Terry Workman. Internment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dae Young Kim; mother, Shin Ah Ahn; brother, Chang Ho Kim, as well as her husband, Rev. Jeno H. Haggenmacher.

She is survived by her 2 sons and daughter -in-laws, Andreas & Michelle Haggenmacher of Geismar, LA; Albert & Annette Haggenmacher of Zachary, LA; and her step daughter and son-in-law, Cornelia & Jurgen Gentner of Switzerland; sisters Chang Sun Kim and Dong Sun Kim, brother Woong Gil Kim; and 9 grandchildren, Jared, Elise, Joshua, Hannah, Logan, Tristen, Christian, Joel, and Gabrielle.

She was a member of Victory Bible Fellowship. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Victory Bible Fellowship Missionary Fund, 3953 N. Flannery Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70814.
