Cathy Jo Eure, 53, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Cathy was a longtime employee of Entergy. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Walker and the late Malcolm Walker Jr. She was the beloved wife of Edward Cecil Eure and wonderful mother and friend to stepdaughters, Michelle Eure-McDougal and Susanne Eure-LeBlanc and husband Mike. Cathy was known for her kindness, compassion and love for her co-workers, friends and family. Her love for her pets and all animals was a sweet example of her beautiful nature. She is survived by a brother, Shane Walker and wife Latricia; nephews, John and Samuel Walker; niece, Emily Walker; loving brother-in-law, Roy C. Eure; grandchildren, Christopher and Ava Grace; and many other close relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, July 24, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital Area Animal Welfare Society at (225) 752-5801.
