Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a retired marble and tile contractor died at 11:22 pm on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his home. He was 92, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Donaldsonville. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 5 pm until 8 pm with recitation of the rosary at 7 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 13 at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian burial at 11 am. Burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Runfalo Valenti; children and their spouses, Kathleen V. and Juan Morales, Suzanne V. and Dwight Jackson, Joy C. Valenti, Johnette V. and Steve Turner, and John A. and Julie Valenti; grandchildren and their spouses, Jill J. and Christopher Congemi, John J. Morales, Kelly M. and Charles LeFevre, and Grant Turner; great-grandchildren, Jackson Congemi, Cullen Congemi, Rex LeFevre, and Harvey LeFevre; and brother, Sam Valenti. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rosario and Mary Traina Valenti; brothers, Jasper, Dominic, Joe, Charlie, Louis, and Frank Valenti; sisters, Agnes V. Sciortino, Virginia V. Landry, and Sara V.
