A resident of Denham Springs, she died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Harvest Manor in Denham Springs. She was 87 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Monday, July 2, from noon until service in the chapel at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Terry Booth. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Teresa Brian; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mindy B. Hornsby, and Missy and Ronnie Pace; sister, Carolyn Tarver Grimes; brother, Jerry C. Tarver and wife Jimmie Lou; nine grandchildren, Lucas Hornsby and wife Jessica, Kaycie Brian Nobles, Allen Brian and wife Amanda, Clint Hornsby, Brett Hornsby, Holly Pace, Kyle Brian, Brian Hornsby and Lindsay Pace; and seven great-grandchildren, Gavin, Tanner, Kohen, Owen, Micah, Levi and Tinley. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Hazel Tarver; sister, Margie Tarver Payne; brother, Denzel W. Tarver; and great-granddaughter, Hallie Marie Brian. She was a member of Goodwood Boulevard Church of Christ and attended Amite Baptist Church
