A resident of Baton Rouge passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at the age of 71.Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home 11817 Jefferson Hwy on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 11 am until religious services at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wonderful wife of nearly 17 years Peggy Smith Carpenter, who was his heart; sister, Eilene Carpenter McTire of Campti, La; niece, Wendy and husband Kelly Crow and their two sons Collin David and Chase Wayne Crow; Nephew, Shannon Dale McTire; great niece, Baileigh Dale McTire; step-daughters, Jolie Garcia Porter and husband Chuck, Julie Garcia Ruehl and husband Ernie, Joelle Garcia Cuevas and husband Scott; step-son, Michael Moises Garcia and wife Kat; step-grandsons, Aidan Michael Porter, Landon Edward Cuevas, and Hunter Hilton Cuevas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Kirkwood Carpenter and Coy Wanda Watson. Dale graduated from Baton Rouge High School in June 1959 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959-1962. He is retired from Matlack Inc. Pallbearers will be: Joseph T. Smith, Carl Crain, Stephen Smith, Clyde Evans, Erik Smith, Scott Smith, Chuck Porter, Aidan Porter and Jerry Dichary. Honorary Pallbearers are: Collin David Crow, Chase Wayne Crow, Kelly Crow and Shannon Dale McTire. All family members and friends will miss being taken care of by Dale.
