James Dennis “Denny” Johnson, Denny was born in Houston, Tx. Nov.19, 1956. He passed away suddenly July 1st in Prairieville LA.
He was retired from ANCO Industries and Asbestos Workers Union Local #53. Denny is survived by his daughter Carley Johnson, mother and father Margaret & Harold Johnson; brother, Larry Johnson; nephew, Beaux Johnson; nieces, Sara, Amanda, and Haley; mother of his children Melanie Johnson Boudreaux and special friend Amy Vicknair.
He is preceded by his son Dylan Johnson & granddaughter Bella Raé Buquoi. Denny loved music & was a great guitar player. He played with many talented & beloved friends from around the country. Denny will be remembered for his great sense of humor & quick wit. EVERYBODY loved Denny.
Visitation will be Monday, July 9th, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home starting at noon with services at 2pm.
Pallbearers will be: Gary Mancuso, Jimmy Brent, Tom Barrow, Beaux Johnson, Adam Buquoi, Blake Cage. Honorary pallbearers are John Matison and Paul Johnson.

He is also preceded in death by his ex lover, whom he spent over 16 years with, Virginia E. Cywinski., and his best friend for many years Peter. And survived by his 3 stepdaughters, Lindsay, Savannah, and Hayley. Also survived by his many step grandchildren that just love their pawpaw Denny.
I can't believe this is how it had to be, but God has a purpose and I accept that. As much as we used to fight and argue, I loved you more than that. You weren't just my moms boyfriend, you were "Mr.Denny", my dad. Always kept your promises no matter how big or small they were, and kicked my butt when needed. So many years of memories I'll cherish forever. Until we meet again ....
