Alice Carol Zachary

Alice Carol Michelli Zachary, born Allen, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2024 at the age of 78. 

Born in Baker, Louisiana on January 4th, 1946 to Herbert Thurman and Merle Jessie Allen, Alice will be remembered for her exceptional sewing skills, award winning cucumbers, love for cats, and most importantly, her devotion to her family.

Alice is survived by son, Barry Michelli and his wife Bonna Michelli; daughter, Tina Michelli; grandchildren, Renee Venable, Sherry Venable, Jessica Thibodeaux, Brooke Babin, and Aaron Gilbert; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Paul Allen and his wife Deirdré Allen. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Zachary Jr.; father, Herbert Thurman Allen; mother, Merle Jessie Allen; and brothers, Kenneth Allen and Herbert “Sonny” Allen.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024 at 9:00 AM until Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cat Haven in Baton Rouge, a cause close to Alice’s heart.
