Aline Lockhart Batts

Aline Lockhart Batts passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the age of 94.  She was born in Albany, Louisiana to the late Nathaniel and Stella Lockhart.

Aline met the love of her life, Eugene “Gene” Batts who preceded her in death in 1970.  They founded Ace Cleaners, a staple in the dry-cleaning industry in Baton Rouge until Gene’s death.

Aline is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; their son, Ronald Batts; and her siblings Lizzie, Lelia, Lillian, Lawrence and Eunice.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Sandy Batts Burton and her husband Mark; her grandchildren Casey Batts and wife Ashley, Kyle Batts and wife Emily, Ben Batts, Alissa Batts Haddock and husband Ben, Mark Burton Jr., and Katie Batts.  She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Jackson Batts, Audrey Batts, Sean Ledet, Shelby Batts, Andrew Batts, Josie Batts and Isla Haddock; as well as countless other family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.  A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
