Allan Roderick Stuart passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born June 14, 1941, in Lansing, Michigan to George Roderick Stuart and Lillian Ione Bailey Stuart. After graduating high school, Allan joined the United States Military, proudly serving his country for over three years. Upon being honorably discharged, he resided in Georgia, it was there that he met the love of his life, Paula Schroeder Stuart. Allan had a tenured and successful career as a pressman, moving to Baton Rouge in 1969, where he worked for TJ Moran Printing, until he retired after more than 30 years of dedication to his craft.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 65 years Paula Schroeder Stuart, and his sister Laura Stuart.

Allan is survived by his devoted children Linda Rodosta and husband Duane, Sharon Stansell and husband Joseph, and Allan R. “Buckey” Stuart, Jr. and wife Kristy; his beloved grandchildren Devin Rodosta and wife Iriel, Tyler Rodosta and wife Samantha, Jordan Rodosta and wife Ryann, Lauren Sperier and husband Brady, Cole Leggett and Shelby Newman, Christian Stansell and wife Katie, Joshua Stansell, Benji Stansell and wife Alexa, John Stansell, Brooke Weimar and husband Adams, Kade Stuart and wife Erin, Keaton Stuart and Hayes Stuart; and great-grandchildren Emerson Rodosta, Parker Rodosta, Graham Rodosta, Bobbi Rodosta, Sage Rodosta, Henry Sperier and Scottie Frances Weimar; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Allan, above all, cherished his family – devoting his time to his grandchildren. He rarely missed a baseball, football, soccer game or dance recital. Anything they were involved in, he loved to attend. His grandchildren kept him busy and he wouldn’t have it any other way! He loved the special time getting to hold his new great grandbabies as well.

In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and college sports. In years past, he cherished trips to the beach, a short-lived but joyful experience with square dancing, and telling stories of his infamous red Corvette.

Born on June 14th, Flag Day, he would have been especially honored to share a connection with the nation’s 250th anniversary.

He will forever be remembered for his loving, patient and caring nature. His family was his world, and we will forever cherish the countless memories made.
