Amy Bacci

Amy Chin Bacci, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on November 26, 2022. Amy was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Louisiana State University where she also met her husband of 55 years. Amy worked for Ethyl Chemical Corporation for many years before becoming a mother and dedicating her life to raising her two children. She enjoyed playing tennis and the friendships made through the sport. She eventually returned to work as a substitute teacher and also spent many years in the retail industry. She enjoyed quilting with her sisters and was always happy to mend a favorite stuffed animal or hem pants for her grandchildren. Amy was patient, kind, resilient and strong. She will be remembered as the best wife, mother, grammy, sister and friend.

Amy is survived by her husband Jose Bacci, children Melissa Amy Bacci Walsh (Drew), David Jose Bacci (Kate), sisters Carmen Moy, Linda Lew, Dianna Perret (Joe), Brenda Bantaa (Gerald), Grandchildren James and Abigail Walsh, Alexandra Bacci.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Bow Wing and Sookmon Chin.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday December 2 from 9AM until services at 11AM.
