Ann Bayus Gubancsik, born on May 27, 1925, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the age of 100.
Ann was born in Albany, Louisiana. Ann became a waitress at Log Cabin, and then moved on to become a sales associate at Nobles Contemporary. She was a member at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, as well as a member of Busy Bodies exercise group. Ann was a committed adorer of Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, and always enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Ann is survived by her sons, John E. Gubancsik (Gerrie) and Gary A. Gubancsik (Jackie); grandchildren, Karen Chapman (Clint), Brandon Gubancsik (Ashley), and Cory Gubancsik (Chrissie); 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Andy Gubancsik, Jr.; parents, Charles and Helen Bayus; and grandchildren, Trina Conerly (Trey).
Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Saturday, August 30, 2025, beginning at 12:00 PM until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
