Anne Marie Blount, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the age of 83. Anne Marie was born on June 1, 1941, in Arreau, France, daughter to the late Jean Claude Bernie and Andrea Sanvoisin. She later set her roots in Baton Rouge, where she met her husband and they started a family.
A proud and devout Catholic, Anne Marie was a member of the Catholic Daughters, and even practiced as a Eucharistic minister. In her free time, Anne Marie enjoyed shopping, traveling the world, and trips to the beach. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, and creating many cherished memories.
Anne Marie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Eldon R. Blount, as well as her parents.
She is survived by her daughters; Joelle Lemoine, Brigitte Deville, and Michele Williams; her son Bruce Williams; grandchildren Philip, Nicole, Hythem, Fatima, Ahmed, Laila, Sean, April, and Lacy; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family of Anne Marie Blount would like to give special thanks to her neighbors, and the Catholic Daughters of St. Jude for all of their love and support.
A visitation will be held for Anne Marie at St. Jude Catholic Church on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like request memorials to be made to St. Jude in Anne Marie’s name.
