Annette Bullock

July 27, 1936 — September 25, 2021

Annette Case Bullock, a lovely lady and fine artist, passed from this life on September 25th surrounded by family. She was 85 years old and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Annette grew up on a farm outside of Brookhaven, Mississippi as the eldest of six children born to Harvey and Lola Smith Case. On June 6, 1954, she married Grady Earl Bullock. Annette was his great love and anchor of his life. Grady preceded her in death on June 10, 2014. During their long marriage, they reared four children and welcomed grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With Annette’s support, Grady founded B&H Air Tools and took pride in its growth and success.

Beginning with an oil painting class in 1971, Annette became an accomplished artist working in oil, watercolor, acrylic and mixed media. Her son converted a greenhouse into an art studio on her property where she painted southern landscapes and florals in the final years of her life.

Annette thoroughly enjoyed her Baton Rouge home, surrounded by trees and located on a lake. She appreciated the birds and other wild life and was inspired by the overall beauty of God’s creation. She considered her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to be great blessings. Because she was so close to her own paternal grandmother, Annette chose to be “Granny” when her first grandchild was born in 1979. The generation of eight great-grandchildren called her “Granny B.” Annette held wonderful holiday celebrations for her family, with Christmas being the very best. She made a delicious macaroni and cheese and set a beautiful table.

Annette is survived by her children Deborah Nault and husband David, Grady, Jr. Bullock and wife Mary, Theresa Davis and husband Joseph, and Clifford Bullock and wife Barbara; grandchildren Tara Davis Hargon and husband Chad, Bryan Davis, David Nault, Jr. and wife Jayme, Rachel Nault, Sara Bullock Passman and husband Garron, Madeline Davis White and husband Vance, Mark Case Bullock, Claire Bullock, and Daniel Bullock; and eight great-grandchildren. Annette is also survived by four siblings: Marilyn Case Brown and husband Robert, Thomas Case, Joyce Case Harris and husband Gene, and Dennis Case and wife Brenda. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Grady E. Bullock, Sr., and sister and brother-in-law Rowena and Willie McGee, and sister-in-law Janice Case.

Annette’s family would like to express appreciation for her loving care takers: Karina, Jackie, Mae and Mary Ann.
