Annie Leblanc

January 6, 1930 — December 1, 2021

Annie Elizabeth Denicola LeBlanc completed her earthly journey at 10:10 p.m. December 1, 2021, at Old Jefferson Community Care Center. She was 91, born in Baton Rouge on January 6, 1930, to Dominick and Mary Armato Denicola. She was a kind southern lady with a Christian heart, a sweet yet sometimes feisty spirit, and a gentle soul. She was a loving wife of almost 65 years to her one and only love, Dickie (Ernest), who passed away in April, 2018, taking a piece of her heart with him. She was a wonderful mother to her five children whom she adored; and a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, with Number 16 on the way. She was a homemaker for most her life and took pride in keeping a spotless and loving home, and raising her children. She was a shining example of what a wife, mother, grandmother, and above all, a Christian, should be. She is survived by her children, Angela Thompson, Cindi Dier (Tony), Kelly LeBlanc (Michele), and Danny LeBlanc (Lisa);  grandchildren, Heidi Babin, Jimmy Root, Preston Thompson, Adriane Mack, Justin Thompson, Hannah Black, Kate LeBlanc, Josh LeBlanc, Natalie LeBlanc, Jeremy LeBlanc, and Luke LeBlanc; great-grandchildren, Gracyn, Kenadie, and Kenzlie Babin, Daniel, Anna, and Nicholas Thompson, Jack, Grace, and Lilly Thompson, Sophie Mack, Jameson and Garret Root, and Olivia, John Isaac, and James Black. Preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Corrine LeBlanc Root; siblings, Annie, Rose, Lisa, Angelina, Philip, Henry, George, Jasper (Dee), Rose, and Nick; granddaughters, Ashlyn and Alison LeBlanc; and son-in-law, John Thompson. Visitation at Resthaven Garden of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven.
