Anthony Wayne Varnado

Anthony Wayne Varnado, born on February 23, 1964, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the age of 62.

Anthony was born in Kentwood, Louisiana. After graduating from high school, Anthony went on to become a maintenance worker at LSU and Southern University. He was a member of North Boulevard Macedonia Full Gospel Church. He always enjoyed playing cards, listening to Frankie Beverly and Maze, and laughing with friends and family.

Anthony is survived by his daughters, Chassidy V. Labio and Lula Marie Ellis; sisters, Marlene Varnado, Regina Terrell (Willie), and Kimberly Conner; brothers, Fredrick Conner (Ingrid) and Reginald Conner; grandchildren, Brooklyn Ellis, Destinee J. Beauchamp (Sean); Reese Labio, Royce Labio, and Rory Labio; great-grandchildren, Hunter Beauchamp, Zaydon Beauchamp, and Kinsley Beauchamp; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Varnado and Ruth Pelichet Conner; and brother, Tony Varnado.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Anthony’s life on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home. All will be welcomed at 1:30 PM until Memorial Service at 3:00 PM.
