Anthony Freddy Pichon Jr., lovingly known as “Duke,” a devoted husband, father, brother, and lifelong caregiver, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was 72.
Born on September 30, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Louise and Freddy Pichon, Duke dedicated 44 years of his life to nursing, a profession that perfectly matched his compassionate heart and steady spirit. He spent much of his career serving patients at Ochsner Hospital, where his calm demeanor, skill, and deep empathy earned him the respect and gratitude of colleagues and families alike.
He married the love of his life, Lynn, on December 5, 1970, and the two were inseparable ever since — building a life centered on love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another and their family.
Duke is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Pichon; his children, Angela Pichon, Renada Pichon Watters and husband, Keith, and Anthony Pichon III. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Dillon and her son, Duke’s nephew, Patrick Dillon.
Duke was a family man above all else, always proud of his children’s accomplishments and deeply devoted to their happiness.
