Arnold Patrick Saucier, born October 5, 1944, native of Watson, Louisiana, and long-time resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on May 14, 2026. Battling many health problems for several years, his doctor called him “Lazarus”.
He graduated from Live Oak High School, attended Louisiana State University and served in the United States Army. He always worked hard at any job and decided “sales” was his calling, where he then worked at Western Auto before eventually opening his own store in Plaquemine. Later, he would establish and run a family company at Southern Fastener & Tool Company for 50 years. He was a good friend to almost everyone he met, with his fun-loving personality and generous nature. Cooking for a crowd was his claim to fame. He could outdance everyone and chase down any Mardi Gras float for beads for his kids and grandkids. Being a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather was his greatest joy and mission.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Inez Brunet Saucier; sister, Elaine Stephens; and brother, Randolph Saucier.
He is survived by his sister, Catherine Norris; wife of nearly 60 years, Judith Sullivan Saucier; sons, Scott Saucier, Todd Saucier and wife, Leslie, and Robert Saucier and wife, Brandi; daughter, Gina Saucier; grandchildren, Cody Saucier and wife, Kelly, Rene’ Saucier, Beau Saucier, Douglas Saucier, Ainsley Saucier, Jenna Saucier, Eden Saucier, Zachary Saucier and fiancée, Alacia, and Ronson Scott Jr.; great grandchildren, Olivia Saucier and Zayden Saucier; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and many customers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln in Baton Rouge, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m.
