He was the owner of Root Television Production, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Lafayette. He died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at noon, conducted by Dr. Lynn Morrison. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his fiance, Laurie Jo Terrell stepfather, William H. Bill Martinez Jr. father, A.G. Root III and wife Jenny three daughters, Abbey Lynn Root, Paige Elizabeth Root and Blair Katherine Root two nephews, Cullen Jameson Root and Carson Kimball Root half sister, Rachel Root Hoolahan and a sisterinlaw, Jill Root. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Jeanette Martinez brother, Jay Kimball Root and half brother, Andrew Root. Pallbearers will be Cullen Root, Carson Root, Frank Hillyard, Dennis McCain, Diego Cortez, Lock Anderson and Ricky Lea. He was a loving father, uncle and brotherinlaw who devoted his entire christian life to his family and friends. The greatest gift I ever had came from God I call him Dad.
