Arthur D. "Ozzie" Morris

Arthur D. "Ozzie" Morris of Prairieville, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the age of 67.

He was a 1976 graduate of Glen Oaks High School and a member of Local #53 Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers. Ozzie was an avid LSU, Saints, and Astros fan. He also loved golf, playing cards, and listening to live music. 

Ozzie is survived by his former spouse, Kim P. Morris, their daughter Kyndel Morris Brewer and granddaughter Rory Blake Brewer; his mother, Floy Lenore Ratliff Cook; his brother Mays I. Morris Jr. (Dale); and sister Martha A. Paddie (Chris). He also had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Mays I. Morris Sr.; stepfather, Lee B. Cook; and brother, Michael A. Morris.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his honorary pallbearers, Mays I. Morris Jr., Micah A. Morris, Derek M. Morris, Daryl Jumper, Lyndon Breeden Sr., Bubba McDade and Roger Blanchard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 p.m. A private inurnment will be held for the family at a later date at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
