Austin Sigmund Fabre passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Austin lived 18 years, and filled those years with enough passion, creativity, and spirit to leave a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Austin entered this world on November 29, 2007, in Gulfport, Mississippi, and from an early age it was clear that he viewed the world differently. Music was Austin’s heartbeat. Whether he was writing songs, singing, playing guitar, producing tracks, or envisioning his next creative project, music was the language through which he shared his soul. He wasn’t content simply to listen to music, he wanted to create it and use it to connect with others.
Austin’s artistic talents extended beyond music. He was an actor, runway model, digital artist, and designer whose creativity touched those around him. He loved creating graphics for his album artwork and performing in front of the camera. He had a mind full of ideas, and a drive to bring those ideas to life.
Austin had a unique way of lighting up a room when he was excited about a new song, a new project, or a new dream. He could spend hours talking about music and sharing his latest ideas. He felt things deeply and cared passionately about the people and interests that mattered to him.
Austin embraced life with energy and adventure. He loved swimming, gymnastics, parkour, skateboarding, piano, video gaming, and performing piano recitals and rock concerts. He wasn’t afraid to try something new or challenge himself.
His educational journey reflected his resilience and determination. Austin earned his high school diploma from K12 Private Academy, along with YouScience Desktop Publishing and Digital Media II Certifications and was also a graduate of the Louisiana National Guard’s Youth Challenge Program. He continued his studies through Baker College and Baton Rouge Community College, always looking toward the future and the opportunities ahead. He was enrolled to attend Full Sail University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Recording Arts this fall.
Austin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the K12 Private Academy Music Club. He was a Boy Scout, performed in Piano Pathways, School of Rock, Ethan Bortnick’s Celebration of Music, acted with Christian Youth Theater and Love Acting, and lit up the runway with Barbizon USA and Coastal Fashion Week and acted in several movies. Through these experiences he developed his talents, built friendships, and found communities where he could grow and thrive.
Above all else, Austin loved his family. He was the cherished son of Michael Fabre Sr. and Cornelia “Connie” Fabre and the beloved brother of Michael Leonard Fabre, Jr. and Travis Stanley Fabre. No matter where life took him or what dream he was chasing, family remained the foundation beneath him and the source of his greatest support.
Austin is survived by his grandmother, Edeltraude Klara Puls, loving parents, Michael Fabre Sr. and Cornelia “Connie” Fabre; his brothers, Michael Leonard Fabre, Jr. and Travis Stanley Fabre; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members, including Lisa Fabre Beck, Christine Beach, Fred and Amy Puls, Carsten and Kristi Puls, Mathew Bennet, Fabie Derbigny, Olivia Derbigny, Rick Beach, Rachel Evers, Audrey Webster and her husband David and their daughter Athena, Ellie Puls, Cadence Puls, and Melody Puls. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Horace and Marion Fabre and Friedrich Puls, and by his uncles, Clinton Clark Fabre, Keith Arnold Fabre, Richard Beach and Bob Beck.
The family is deeply grateful to Shayne Marcantel and the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) for their compassion and support. Through Austin’s gift of organ donation, his generous spirit continues to touch lives and offer hope to others.
The heartbreak of losing Austin is immeasurable. There are songs left unwritten, movies left unperformed, dreams left unrealized, and countless moments his family wishes they could have shared with him. Yet his story is not defined by the length of his life, but by the love he gave, the joy he brought, the art he created, and the memories he leaves behind.
His music lives on. His creativity lives on. His spirit lives on in every life he touched. He will be missed beyond words and remains loved beyond measure.
Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., officiated by Pastor Bill Crowe. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
