Barry William Moulder, born August 5, 1960, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the age of 65.
Barry was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a 1979 graduate of Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge. His passion for driving led him to be an over-the-road truck driver for over 40 years. He drove all over the United States seeing parts of the country he probably never dreamed he’d see. He traveled to every state except 4, with over 6 million miles driven with a clean record. He was also a mentor to many drivers with Marten Transport. Barry also enjoyed fishing and working on boat motors with his brother. He loved listening to bluegrass music and he loved to cook, especially grilling.
Barry is survived by his daughter, Aeryn Moulder; sons, Jason Moulder and William Moulder; sisters Becky Moulder Rushing (Steve) and Tanya Thompson; brothers Jimmy Moulder (Penny), Tommy Thompson and Toby Thompson; friends, Rick Engleke, Randall Johnson, Justin Smith, Kaitlyn Knudtson, Jacob and Sierra Safer, Jacob Browning and all of the Domino’s team at store #5258; as well as aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
Barry is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Marta Copeland Moulder; parents, Bondy Moulder and Anita and Frank Thompson; brother, Tracy Thompson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Wanda Copeland; grandparents, Alton and Alice Achord, and BW and Mattie Moulder; nephew Christopher Rushing; and niece, Abby Thompson.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Barry’s life on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home. All will be welcomed at 9:00 AM with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Pallbearers will be Jason Moulder, Jimmy Moulder, Steve Rushing, Justin Smith, Jacob Safer and Melvin Singleton. Ross Wales will officiate the service.
