Beatrice “Bea” Ramagos, born on January 27, 1928, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 98.
Bea was born in Long Pine, Louisiana. Over the years, she spent time working in retail, as well as creating a home for her family. She was an active member at Parkview Baptist Church for 50+ years, as well as a member of the Golden Girls, alongside Pat, Alice, Virgie, and Peggy, for 28 years. The Golden Girls represented monthly lunches, holiday celebrations, and a day full of shopping, eating, and laughing. Bea loved to cook, spend time with her many friends and family, and take care of her grandchildren.
Bea is survived by her daughter, Terri Ramagos Dugas (Scott); son, Michael “Mickey” Keith Ramagos, Sr. (Cindy); grandchildren, David Scott Dugas, Julie Ann Dugas, and Michael Keith Ramagos, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Bryson Keith Ramagos, Gracelyn Danielle Ramagos, Parker Hayes Hart, Camden Scott Hart, Charleigh Ann Dugas, and Madison Lee Dugas; and countless nieces and nephews who were all very special to Aunt Bea and always held a special place in her heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Felix “Red” Joseph Ramagos; parents, James F. Spears and Odelia Spears; and siblings, Willa Glenn Richard (Frances), Marion Spears (Vera), James B. Spears (Virginia), and Mildred Scotto (William).
The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers and friends, Lesley and Krista Jones. Caregivers are special angels that are sent to serve, love, and care for those in need. These two angels were perfect and just what was needed in our time of need.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bea’s life at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until services begin at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
