Beau Charles Passman was born February 2, 1988, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Charles Stanley Passman, Jr. and Robin Talbot Passman.  He passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.  Beau was 36 years old.  A 2007 graduate of St. Michael the Archangel High School, he excelled in athletics, playing football, basketball, and baseball.

He is preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents Charles Stanley Passman, Sr. and Bonnie Albritton Hance; his maternal grandfather Kenneth C. Talbot; his aunt Susan Passman Biggers; grandfathers-in-law Gerald Little and Raymond Dugas; grandmother-in-law Gerry Dugas.

Beau is survived by his mother; his high school sweetheart and loving wife of eight years, Katlyn Little Passman; their beloved daughter and the light of his life, Ella Kate Passman; his brother Cody Passman and wife Courtney; and his maternal grandmother Vercie Talbot.  He is also survived by his wife’s family, including parents-in-law Chris and Cindy Slay and Randall and Maggie Little; sisters-in-law Katelyn Dedman and husband Frank III, Stephanie Slay and Christie Slay; brothers-in-law Zachary Stewart and wife Caitlin, and Evan Little; his devoted pup Charlie; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

In 2011, he joined the East Baton Rouge Fire Department, where he found his true passion.  Known as “Sunshine”, he created long-lasting friendships, earned the respect of supervisors and colleagues, and moreover saved and protected the residents of Baton Rouge.

When he wasn’t working, he spent his time doing what he loved the most, being with his family and satisfying his competitive itch playing golf and pickleball. He had a captivating personality. Any interaction with him guaranteed a smile. Being a husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, friend, and public servant provided him with a deep sense of purpose. He served God by serving others, which came to him naturally. Beau impacted people’s lives for the better and he will be profoundly missed.
