Betty Davis Bolton

Betty Davis Bolton, age 81, a resident of Watson, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on March 7, 1944, in Port Allen, Louisiana. Betty graduated from Port Allen High School and later married the love of her life, Alphis Bolton, Jr., with whom she shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for several real estate companies before dedicating many years to the Classifieds Department of The Advocate.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose gentle spirit and generous heart brightened every room. She loved spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, and cherishing every moment with those she loved.

She is survived by her son, Shane Bolton and his wife, Chrystal; her daughter, Shay White and her husband, Steve; her sisters, Carol Yarbrough and Linda Thibodeaux; and her five beloved grandchildren, Nathan, Kierstyn, Megan, Madison, and Morgan. She is also survived by countless nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphis Bolton, Jr.; her sisters, Mary Alice Wager and Shirley Bozeman; and her parents, James Calvin “Blue” Davis and Alice Nichols Davis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m. The family will attend a private burial service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
