Betty Haley

Betty Lou Haley passed away on March 12 at the age of 89.

She graduated from Baton Rouge High School. Betty worked in banking for awhile until she opened her Auto, Life, & Homeowners Insurance Agency. She married at 18 to Douglas L Haley and began their young life in Jefferson Terrace Subdivision. They loved to travel and play music - Bluegrass was a favorite.

She is survived by her 3 children Dane Haley (Janet), Bret, Shan Haley deGruy (Duane), 3 Grandchildren Tracye' Martin, Ryan Haley & Britney Haley Jones, and 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents McKinley Calvin Demars & Luda Francis Hill, brothers Floyd A Demars Sr & Robert Eugene Demars Jr, sisters-in-law Ethel Mae Demars, Geraldine Demars, and niece Sandra Ann Demars.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation, which will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Wednesday March 17 from 5pm to 8pm, and service to take place the next day on Thursday at 10:30 am.
