Bettye Perry

Bettye Patterson Perry of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Bettye was born on September 18, 1926 in Waco, Texas, daughter of the late Earl and Eula Patterson.

Bettye stayed mobile in her youth, living on many Air Force Bases with her husband Brady, a pilot, before she moved to Jackson Mississippi, where she lived for 33 years. Bettye attended Columbia College, and LSU. She was a proud member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Bettye is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Brady A. Perry.

She is survived by children Sandra Perry Drake, Patrice Perry Waguespack (Allen), Brady A. Perry Jr. (Judy), grandchildren Rushawn Drake Gray (the late Darrel Gray), Allison Drake, Todd Waguespack (Michelle), Bret Waguespack (Celeste), Lori Waguespack Mayeux  (Lance), Ryan Waguespack (Becki), and Jake and Brock Perry.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 1:30pm until services at 2:30pm. Burial will take place at Port Hudson National Cemetery 236 US-61, Jackson, LA 70748 on Wednesday , January 4, 2023 at 10am.
