Beverly Ruth Achord Selser, age 68, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on April 17, 2018.
Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She delighted in spending time with her family and friends. Beverly enjoyed getting lost in a good book while her dog snuggled next to her. Traveling was another passion of Beverly's, whether it be a long road trip or journeying to distant countries. Beverly also loved to play Bunco with her best friends. Even though Beverly was diagnosed with diabetes in her twenties and suffered a massive stroke in her forties, she was a fighter. Her strength and positive attitude were inspiring as she strove to overcome adversity. Beverly became a role model to others. With a determined spirit she learned to walk again, to drive again, and to rejoin society. She was a woman who lived life to the fullest and didn't take for granted the time God gave her on Earth.
Beverly leaves behind her husband, Paul Gregory Selser; her children, Jason Selser and wife Christy, Jared A. Selser and wife Heather, and Micol Berquier; her grandchildren, Greg Selser and wife Ashley Degioanni, Abby Selser, Eric Selser, Rex Abbott-Selser, Daphnee Selser, Giacomo Prandelli, and Linda Prandelli; her great-grandchildren, Stone Selser and Sparrow Selser; her brother, Mitchell Achord and wife Patti; and many nieces and nephews.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Milton Achord and Jackie Achord; and her sister, Debra Davis.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816 on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 1:00pm until funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
