Bobby Glen Carpenter, Jr., born on October 29, 1962, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Glen was 62 years old.
Glen was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He spent his elementary years in Brusly, LA. His family then moved to Baton Rouge where Glen attended and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. He then went on to ITI Technical College where he earned his certification in Instrumentation. Glen worked for Dow Chemical and then went on to become an Auto Technician. For the last 20 years, he worked in Service at the Brian Harris Porsche Dealership. Glen was a man of God and follower of Jesus Christ. He grew in his faith throughout the years even as he struggled with many health problems. He loved Jennifer and Alaina, the rest of his family and friends and enjoyed times of getting together and visiting. Glen also loved his work and got great fulfillment out of dropping everything and coming to the aid of someone in need of help whether it be an automotive problem or moving furniture. Glen had a beautiful tenor voice. He loved music and enjoyed singing in drama performances in high school but especially loved singing hymns in church on Sunday mornings and evenings. He loved playing cards, was a cross country runner, an excellent waterskier and so enjoyed playing basketball whenever he got the chance.
Glen is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jennifer Ann Carpenter; daughter, Alaina Carpenter Mills and husband, Madison; sister, Terri Carpenter Kusske and husband, Pat; and grandson, Owen Antony Mills.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Carpenter, Sr. and Marilyn Koger Carpenter.
