Branson Leigh Gilly

Branson Leigh Gilly, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 26. He was a loving son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed his family, friends, music, travel, adventure, cooking, reading, gaming, and his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Marilynn Bordelon Gilly; and his maternal grandfather, Michael J. Uter.

He is survived by his loving dogs, Bunny and Franklin; parents, Kristen Uter Mayeaux and his stepdad, Kenny, and Leigh Gilly and his stepmom Lisa; siblings, Nathan Gilly, Josephine Gilly, Davis Gilly, Emory Mayeaux, and Britton Mayeaux; maternal grandmother, Emily Van Horn Wilbert; paternal grandfather, Joe William Gilly; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service is held at 10:00 a.m.
