Brett Michael Kairdolf

December 18, 1987 — March 29, 2026

Brett Michael Kairdolf was born on December 18, 1987, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Troy and Amie Kairdolf. Unfortunately, he was involved in a tragic car accident on March 27 and went to be with Jesus on the evening of March 29, 2026, at 38 years old.

Brett was one of a kind. He never faced a challenge he couldn't tackle. Whether it was backpacking in a snowstorm, stitching his own wounds, avoiding moose stampedes, fixing whatever tool or machine that broke, or convincing his entire work team to do things a certain way, he was going to give it his all. He loved to travel, especially with his two oldest sons. He enjoyed going out on his boat and taking all of his kids fishing and hunting. His latest pride and joy was his new WWII jeep that he enjoyed cruising around with his kids in. He could never turn an adventure down and was often found planning his next big trip. He never went anywhere without a good book and was a quiet, steady but often witty presence in the room. Above all, he adored his six children and wife and spent most of his time loving them so well. He has coached many t-ball and soccer games for his children and loved seeing them excel in all of their activities, especially the piano. His devotion to his children and wife was evident in his everyday life and he will be deeply missed by his family and so many others that knew him. He was a good man and to truly know him was an honor.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Dolores Kairdolf.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Kairdolf and children Ethan, Wesley, Avery, Levi, Amelia, and Audrey Kairdolf; maternal grandparents, Larry and Susie Vosburg; paternal grandfather, Ronald Paul Kairdolf, Sr.; parents, Troy and Amie Kairdolf; brothers, Chase (Joanna) Kairdolf and Justin (Hannah) Kairdolf; and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chase Kairdolf, Justin Kairdolf, Marty Nichols, Warren Pratt, Darren Hollingsworth, and Nathan Bower. Honorary pallbearers are Ethan Kairdolf and Wesley Kairdolf.

There will be an open viewing to all on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA, and private services will be held for the family at a later date.
