Byron Gulledge Jr

Byron Prentis Gulledge, Jr, 88, a native of Jayess, MS and long time resident of Baton Rouge, LA, died on Saturday, March 6, 2021.

Byron was a veteran of the United Sates Army who loved to travel and was an avid fan of New Orleans jazz music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Byron P. Gulledge Sr and Wilma Flanagan Gulledge, of Jayess, MS.

He is survived by his son, Austin (Denise) Gulledge; Grandchildren Dustin (Crystal) Gulledge and Melissa Gulledge; Great Grandchildren, Xander and  Maddax Moya and Luna, Freya and Juliette Gulledge.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation, which will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Friday March 12, from 9:30 to 10:30 am, with service beginning at 10:30 am.

Byron will be laid to rest at Enon Baptist Church cemetery in Jayess, MS.
