Carol Ann Scardina

November 9, 1946 — January 16, 2024

At the very moment I prayed to you, you answered me. You strengthened me deep within my soul and breathed fresh courage into me. Psalm 138:3

Carol Ann Scardina, lovingly knows as “Sissy” and “Honey” was welcomed into God’s glory on January 16, 2024. Carol was born on November 9, 1946, to the late Cliff and Annie Williams in Marianna, Arkansas and was married to the late Philip Charles Scardina for over 46 years.

Carol found her greatest joy in being a loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Carol enjoyed talking to her friends, LSU football, spending time with her family, watching westerns, listening to praise and worship music, and reading her Bible. She will be remembered for her encouraging words, great sense of humor and infectious joy, and most of all her faith in God and the power of prayer. Carol loved to serve others. The grandchildren knew her as “Honey” and enjoyed teatime in the kitchen and by the pool, trips to the toy store, coloring and painting at the table, endless card games of old maid and crazy eights, the best back scratches, and ice cream sandwiches for breakfast. In addition to be referred to as “Honey”, she was “Sissy” to her sister, Patricia, her nephew Kit and his two daughters, Kali and Sophia. Time with Sissy meant fun times at the pool, shopping and lunch around town, countless baseball games, and more trips to the toy store. All of these she loved, prayed for, and touched deeply. Carol is survived by two children and their spouses, son, Phillip and Marguerite Scardina, and daughter, Stacey and David Wall; five grandchildren, Phillip Charles Scardina II, Bradlee W. Day and husband Devin Day, Alexandra M. Scardina, Adam M. Wall, and Annelise I. Scardina; her sister and husband, Patricia and John Voinche, her nephew Dr. Thomas “Kit” Kiebach, Jessica, his daughters, Kali and Sophia, and. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip C. Scardina, and parents, Cliff and Annie Williams, grandparents, Tom and Jessie Williams and Edgar and Kathleen Shaver.
