Carolyn Mathis

Carolyn Blackwell Mathis, age 79, a native of Lutcher, LA, and a resident of Zachary, LA, passed away on January 12, 2017.

Carolyn is survived by her two daughters, Tommi Dee Mathis and Danielle Guillory; her three sons, Carl Blackwell, Timmy Blackwell and Denny Mathis; her sister, Kandi Ritchey; her three brothers, Bill Bourgeois, RJ Bourgeois and Keith Bourgeois; her 10 grandchildren; and about 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Malcolm Blackwell; her second husband, Billy Mathis; her daughter, Sheila Davis; her sister, Sonja Howell; and her brother, Brent Bourgeois.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 12:00pm until funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
