Carolyn Starns

Carolyn Ann Starns, age 83, a resident of Baton Rouge, La, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

She was born and raised in Baton Rouge, La, where she graduated from Baton Rouge High School, was a faithful member of First Baptist Church-Baton Rouge, where she taught 2nd grade Sunday School, worked with the Young-at-Heart, and many other activities. She later retired as a ministerial secretary. Carolyn enjoyed expressing her talents through hobbies, such as: Cooking, Home Interior Design, Ceramics, Painting, Gardening, Embroidery and Quilting. She also enjoyed being a volunteer at Baton Rouge General Hospital for many years. Many know and love her for her willingness to serve and fellowship with others, as it was the passion of her life -- a true testament of Christ-like strength.

Carolyn is survived by (Husband) Robert W. Starns, (Sons/Daughter-in-Laws) Gary & Marie Starns, Eric & Cheryl Starns, Troy & Bekki Starns, (Grandchildren) Madalyn Starns, Zachary Starns, Allanah Starns, Katie Starns, Emily Starns, Erin Whitfield.

She was preceded in death by (Mother) Annie Mae Ferguson Aubin, (Father) Leslie E. Aubin, (Brother) Leslie E. Aubin, Jr., (Sister) Patricia M. Aubin Kyle, (Granddaughter) Nikki Starns Alleman.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue at First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
