Carolyn Vest

A retired employee with the Louisiana Department of Public Safety, she died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge. She was 63, a resident of Denham Springs and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Brother Gordon Atwell. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by Bernice Cliburn; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bret A. and Renea Miller, Brent A. and Melissa Miller and Bart A. Miller; three sisters, Hattie Pendarvis, Brenda Jollisaint and Jonell Russell; three brothers, Phillip, Benny and Ronnie Cliburn; and four grandchildren, Dalton Miller, Braden Miller, Bayne Miller and Edward Vest. Preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Dean Miller and Edward Vest; and father, Leonard Edgar Cliburn.
