Chuck Entremont, Jr.

September 5, 1942 — July 17, 2023

Pride

A loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Charles Lasseigne Entremont Jr. (80) “Chuck”, of Pride, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

His family looked up to him as a resilient leader and follower of Christ. He taught them how to be a great friend, to love unconditionally, and to live life to the fullest. Chuck was born on September 5, 1942, in Reserve, Louisiana. He graduated from Istrouma High School in the class of 1960 before starting his career as a painter in Baton Rouge for Lundin Henry. After a few years, he began working as a supervisor for the Insulators Union #53. Before retiring, he then joined the Pipefitters Union, where he also worked as a supervisor. He was always a hardworking, dedicated employee and was highly respected by his coworkers. After retiring, he enjoyed painting homes, working on his 1964 Pontiac GTO and attending car shows, spending time at his camp on the Amite River, cooking delicious meals for his family and friends, attending many sporting events for his grandchildren, and being the best “Toot” to his grandchildren and “Big Daddy” to all. He never met a stranger, and his jokes, smile, and laugh were contagious. He loved his family and friends very much, and he will be deeply missed by each one of them.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis Mire Entremont, and sons, Charles Entremont III (Tonya) and Joseph Entremont (Jennifer); and three grandchildren Justin, Blakeli, and Blair Entremont; and siblings Glenda Vuci (Joseph), Maurice Entremont, and Mary Alice Babin (Perry); brothers-in-law Byrd Hotard, Keith Paxton, and Michael Cole; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Frances Entremont; mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth Mire; sister, Joy Hotard; and sisters-in-law Betty Lyons, Patricia Haley, Mimi Paxton, and Denise Cole.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Monday, July 24, 2023, beginning at 5pm until 8pm.
