Charles Fontenot

A resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 66, a native of Mamou and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 1, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by Deacon Jeff Chapman. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his daughter, Laurie Fontenot Waggenspack; two sons, Michael Fontenot and Steven Charles Fontenot; former wife, Pat Jenkins; two sisters, Barbara Parris and Sandy Chapman; four brothers, John H. Fontenot, Vernon W. Fontenot, Tony Fontenot and Bobby Fontenot; and grandson, Ayden Michael Fontenot. Preceded in death by his parents, Alther and Virginia Fontenot.
