Christina Elizabeth Ricca

Christina Elizabeth Ricca passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice, due to respiratory failure.   She was 48 years old.  She was born September 19, 1975, to John Ricca, Jr. and Elizabeth Mary Katherine Reardon Ricca.

A Baton Rouge native, Christina attended Most Blessed Sacrament, Bishop Sullivan High School, Christian Life Academy, Baton Rouge Community College and the Louisiana State University.  Having been diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age ten, she served with the local Baton Rouge Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) office.

She is preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Bradley Alan Bilbo.  Christina is survived by her father; her son Charles John Bilbo; her three sisters, Patricia Odom and husband Ken, Karen Thevenet and husband David, and Linda Robinson and her husband John; along with their children and grandchildren.  She is also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ricca of Baton Rouge, LA and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Reardon of Stephenville, Newfoundland; as well as numerous other relatives throughout the United States and Canada.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane in Baton Rouge.  A Memorial Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m.  A private inurnment with the family will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at a later date.
