Clint Vincent Patterson

Dec 26, 1962 — Jun 17, 2026

Clint Vincent Patterson passed away on June 17, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness and humor touched many lives.

Clint was a Professional Engineer with a Master’s degree in structural engineering. He took great pride in his profession, and built a career defined by technical excellence. Throughout his career, he built lasting friendships with coworkers and enjoyed mentoring talented teams through challenging projects. More than anything, he valued the camaraderie, laughter, and friendships formed along the way. Clint was known for sharing his time and talents to help others in need. During his time at the hospital and at The Carpenter House, many coworkers visited to share stories of how Clint was always willing to help others and expressed how deeply he had inspired and impacted them.

Clint loved his family. Providing for them and ensuring his children received a strong education were among his deepest commitments, a quiet testament to the values that guided his life. Clint was quick-witted, with a sense of humor that could lighten the mood in an instant. He found joy in spending time outdoors, fishing, and had a special love for animals, especially the family pets who brought him so much happiness. Clint also loved cooking and was known for sharing meals with family, friends, and coworkers. Among his favorite dishes were seafood gumbo and shrimp and corn soup. He had a curious mind and loved building computers, helping with science fair projects, and trying out the latest gadgets. He enjoyed learning new things and sharing those interests with the people he loved.

Clint is survived by his wife, Gail Macalusa Patterson; children, Courtney, Cole, and Jenna Patterson; sister, Lisa Foley; as well as many nieces and a nephew.

He is preceded in death by his children, Bean and Blaine Patterson; mother, Verda Authement Ragen; father, Vincent Patterson; stepfather, Jerrome Ragen; and sister, Lynn Patterson.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Baton Rouge General for their compassion and care, with special appreciation to Angela Cunningham, social worker; Bailey Strother, weekend nurse; and Charmaine, EVS Services for their kindness and support. The family also wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to each and every nurse and CNA at The Carpenter House for the loving and exceptional care they provided during Clint’s final days.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice Carpenter House.
