Colleen Ferry Peroyea

Colleen Ferry Peroyea, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026. She was the daughter of John B. Ferry and Colleen C. Ferry. She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Joseph G. “Greg” Peroyea, her daughter, Elizabeth M. Peroyea, along with her partner, Nicholas Guidroz, her three granddaughters, Sadie Miletello, Marigold Miletello, and Noel Guidroz, Colleen’s sister, Stephanie Ferry and nephew, John Hardy. She is also survived by numerous cousins that were more like siblings, Julia (Mark) Harwell, Carl (Theresa) Gibson, Ghislaine (Tim) Christiansen, and John (Barb) Gibson.

She was a force of nature known for her quick wit, and a heart that rarely let anyone leave her presence without feeling a little lighter. Her humor arrived fast and fearless, often followed by the kind of kindness that made people feel truly seen. She had a talent for turning ordinary moments into stories and strangers into friends.

Services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at St. George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge with visitation starting at 10:30 a.m., a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. and an on-site reception to follow.
