David Gulick

April 23, 1965 — July 28, 2021

David James Gulick, a native of Baton Rouge, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at his residence in Nashville, Tennessee, at age of 56 of type-1 Diabetes, a lifelong illness.

He attended school in multiple states, Maryland, Nevada, and Louisiana where he completed his education at Delta College in Baton Rouge, studying drafting. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and accepted a position in drafting with the state of Tennessee, Department of Transportation.

He was a long-time member of South Nashville Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where he participated in bible studies, sang in the church choir, and enjoyed working with the youth group. He loved karaoke night at the neighborhood club, video games, reading the Bible, History, and Science Fiction.

He is survived by his mother, Sandra Matherne Salins and stepfather, Donald J. Salins, of Delray Beach, Florida; a sister, Mary Gulick Tucker and brother-in-law, Phillip of Woodlands, Texas; two nephews, Sean and Jamie Tucker; and three stepsisters, Julie Salins Kennedy, Susan Salins Hanson, and Maura Salins Greenman.

Predeceased by his father, Lewis J. Gulick of Gardnerville, Nevada.

Funeral Service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home located at 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel; graveside service and burial to follow.
