David Paul Tramonte, “Mr. Dave” native of Lutcher, LA, and long-time resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022, at age 70. David was known to be neat, quiet, caring, and humble. Always made people feel welcomed and safe. A father figure to all. Survived by wife of 51 years, Bonnie Detillier Tramonte. Graduated from Lutcher high school and attended Louisiana State University. David joined the armed forces of the United States, the marine corps reserve in the late 1970’s, worked for the city police, and later retired from BASF as a plant operator, known as “DAD” throughout the chemical plant and later his partnership with his two sons at Tramonte’s Meat Market. Mr. Dave is also survived by son Michael Tramonte Sr, wife Lena Suzanne Maggio Tramonte. David’s brothers and sisters, Pat Tramonte, Kitty Tramonte Poche, Donna Tramonte Martin, Chip Tramonte, and Missy Tramonte Rizzuto. Grandchildren Michael Tramonte Jr, Grace Tramonte, Sammy Tramonte, and Preston Tramonte. Along with numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. David is preceded in death by his son Brad Tramonte, Parents Sam, and Joyce Tramonte.
Celebration of his life Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Resthaven from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Continuing at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, and mass to follow at noon. Burial will follow at Resthaven. Pallbearers will be Pat Tramonte, Chip Tramonte, Cleve Bridges, Pat Donaldson, Edmond Calvin, Michael Tramonte Jr, Sammy Tramonte, and Preston Tramonte. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to favorite charities or to Clarity Hospice.
