Dianne Conerly Pearson, loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born on December 31, 1950, in Tylertown, Mississippi to Cullen Conerly and Velma Blackwell Conerly.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 30 years, Paul Pearson; their beloved son, Taylor Pearson; her brothers, Leonard Conerly and Perry Conerly; and her brother-in-law, Hance Westmoreland. She is survived by her sisters, Patricia McElveen and her husband Jerry, and Marie Westmoreland; nieces Denise Conerly, Christie O’Bryant, Terri Walsh and Stacey Williams; and her nephews Chad McElveen, Greg McElveen, and Ronald O’Bryant. She is also survived by her husband’s children, Brandon Pearson and Eric Pearson; and their children Leigh, Lily, Lucia and Nicholas Pearson; as well as numerous other loving family and countless friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Carpenter House and Always Best Care for the care they provided to Dianne in her final days as it meant so much.
She and her husband successfully owned and operated Pacesetter National for over 25 years. Dianne enjoyed trying new recipes, travelling to the beaches in Florida and donating to the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, while playing pinball slots! Always ready to shop at the drop of a hat, she could fill a cart at Marshall’s in record time – and generally the purchases were for someone else. Dianne was a giving person, and family and friends looked forward to receiving her fuzzy socks at Christmas. Dianne was the “hostess with the mostest”, her parties were entertaining and over the top. While she thrived being on the go, all her adventures could never measure up to the peace and fulfillment she had while spending time with her family and cherished pets. She loved being a mother, and though her son passed away in 2020, she would regularly share stories of him.
To those of us that remain behind, we hold dear the many memories we have. It brings comfort to remember how Dianne was notoriously late for everything - but she was always worth the wait! How fitting it is that we shall see her again, as she waits to greet us all in heaven.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 p.m.
