D'Irie Markele Rhymes

D’Irie Markele Rhymes was born on July 19, 2025, the older brother by one minute to his twin. D’Irie passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, after a courageous effort to spend more time with his parents and brothers.

He is survived by his loving parents, Holly Grace Hawkins and Demarkus Markele-Montrele Rhymes; his big brother D’Ari and his twin brother D’Ionnie; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Woman’s Hospital NICU for the compassionate care of D’Irie and their continued care of D’Ionnie.

D’Irie loved to be rocked and was rarely without his pacifier. He always fell asleep with his tongue sticking out. He found comfort in hearing the voices of his mom and dad. Although he was only with us for a brief time, he left memories to last a lifetime.
