Donald Devillier

Donald (Don) Ray Devillier, a native of Opelousas and resident of Greenwell Springs, LA for over 52 years, passed away in Baton Rouge on his 76th birthday. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Devillier Norwood son-in-law, Brock Norwood and Dana Devillier soon to be son-in-law, Michael Shane Dake; and grandchildren, Gabriel Norwood, Danielle McLin, Rhett Dake, and Grant Dake.

He is survived by his brothers, Allen Devillier and wife Cheryl, and David Devillier and wife Sharon. He is survived also by his sister in laws, Dorothy (Dot) Ventre Richard, Barbara Ventre Barber; brother-in-law, Robert (Bobby) Ventre and wife Debbie Ventre, Liz Ventre Day, and Patrice Ventre Bagby and husband Jimmy Bagby. He had many nieces and nephews he loved very much!

He is preceded in death by his wife Dina Ventre Devillier; parents Newman “Numa” Devillier and Beulah Devillier, his brother Craig Devillier, father-in-law Robert Ventre and mother-in-law Dorothy Ventre; and brother-in-law Francis Richard.

Don was the most humble loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and much more. His daughters and grandchildren were everything to him.  Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
